Federal Programs and Grants
The district supplements its local budget with a variety of grants and initiatives funded through state, federal, and other sources. The main grants are:

i3 Reading Apprenticeship - High school teachers in English, social studies, and biology are in an experimental group to improve reading comprehension and discussion focused on text.
i3 Reading Recovery - Mountain View is the site to train area teachers in this first grade Tier 3 intervention. Mrs. Mary Harrison is the teacher leader for the program.
i3 ASSET Science - Elementary science teachers are implementing inquiry strategies in their science instruction. The use of FOSS and STC materials offers students a hadns-on approach to science.
