Dr. Christopher J. Lake

Meet the Principal

  • Dr. Lake, 1984 class valedictorian of Mountain View Jr./Sr. High School, holds a Bachelor of Science (1988) and a Master’s Degree (1996) from the University of Scranton and a Doctorate of Education (2005) from Temple University. He returned to his alma mater to teach English, theatre, and writing from 1988-2001.  Between 2001-2015, he taught at Milton Hershey School; was a principal for the Diocese of Scranton; mentored administrators for PA Department of Education and served as the Federal Program Coordinator in the Hazleton Area School District.  In 2015, he returned to Mountain View as Director of Curriculum and Instruction, before becoming Elementary Principal in March 2018.

    He has been honored to have been part of the Navy Blue and Burnt Orange as a student, teacher, and now administrator.  Mountain View has been part of his life since 1972, when he entered first grade at Harford Elementary. He lives in Gelatt, PA, as a fifth generation family member.  In his free time he enjoys boating on Page Lake, visiting friends, and spending time with his parents.
